Welcome to the apartment! Here's the porch ... Laurel's cousin Julianne painted the locker when she was in high school, and we got the chairs and table from a yard sale across the street. (As you can see, our aloe still refuses to quit.)
Come on into the kitchen ... the stove is, sadly, electric, but you can't win 'em all.
Our lovely hutch was a Goodwill find ... I was originally going to use the top half as a bookcase in the sun room and turn the bottom into an island by adding casters, but it fit so nicely that we left it as it was. The tea stash has found itself a perfect home. (As has the coffeeeeeeee.)
That door next to the hutch leads into our bedroom... Zsa Zsa Gabear keeps everyone else company. (Laurel's Paddington is from England and was her brother Kevin's until he passed it on to her. Cool, huh!) Not pictured, though not for lack of trying: Miss Bella, Queen of Underbed. She was on the bed the ENTIRE time I was tidying up in here, but the second the camera came out, away she went. Go figure. Hmph.
Note the photos. :) The riding mower pic is in a frame Auntie Patty gave me that Gram used to have my high school photo in, and the Smile button next to our pic was a thrift store find that has a New England Telephone Company sticker on it. (Hazel Pen is in there, too.)
Sparing you Laurel's dresser, but thought you'd like to see the awesome earring holder she made. :D
Out of the bedroom and hanging a right to the living room, you can get a good look at our AWESOME cabinets and the double sink. This has made not having a dishwasher a LOT more tolerable...
"Welcome to the living room," says The Sneak. "Feed me?"
BOOK CORNER. Enough said.
View from the book corner into the living room proper and of the Alice Corner. The characters are all pieces of a giant board puzzle I found for Laurel's Christmas present a couple of years ago ... The wall next to the blue chair is going to be my own attempt at a Family Picture wall once I print out some photos.

My closet, the hutch, and the perfect spot for our ridiculous figure collection. :D Also, I'm so glad I finally have a spot for that photo Dad took of Cinderella Castle!
To say Laurel enjoys the TV you left for us at Uncle Mark's would be a massive understatement. :) The brown thing by the window is a coconut that her grandmother painted and sent to her in the mail.
Into my favorite room in the apartment: the sun room! Laurel's using Uncle Jon's art desk as her own space... I think it suits her well.
And because I'm ME and I figured you'd get a laugh ... our teeny bathroom. (Any ideas for how to get those rust stains off the sink drain?)
A-ba-dee, a-ba-dee, a-ba-dee, that's all, folks! Spot the hidden message on your way out. :)
