So, I did it! I reached my word goal for Camp NaNoWriMo last month! It wasn't enough to completely finish off From the Desk, though, and I'm putting most of my attention into finishing that. My goal is to complete it by the end of September, then start editing each chapter one by one and post them up here as they're revised, and start the next novel in the series for actual NaNoWriMo in November.
In other news, a dear friend of mine has started an online group for creative types called Wicked Wordsmiths. It is hosted over on DreamWidth, and can be found here. If you are a writerly sort, looking for company as you pick your way through your drafts and ideas one word at a time, or even an artist or a crafter looking for resources and feedback, please give it a look!
